Like all of my couples this year, Anthony and Grace had to make some serious changes to their wedding day, because no matter what, they were determined to make it happen.
Three weeks before the big day, they made the decision to have an elopement ceremony with close friends and immediate family. Then, have a small reception at a family ranch to celebrate with their remaining guests to follow.
We hiked 7.1 miles round trip to Beehive Basin in Big Sky, which is one of the top five most beautiful places I've ever been. Wildflowers of every different kind enveloped the fields along the trail, and we soaked in the stream created by runoff from the mountains before the ceremony. There are no words to fully express how magical and how perfect the setting was for this couple.
I adored Anthony and Grace from the moment I met them! They love the outdoors, a good drink, and a great time-my kind of people! Everything about them is so organic and genuine. They are best friends. You can see it in the way they interact with one another, and we heard it in their vows. The love they have for each other is so deep and so raw, it's undeniable.
The two of them together just makes sense, and you could feel it. We were standing in God's country, and everyone surrounded the couple to pray over them and their marriage. I had chills, and tears, and all the feels. Everything was right.
I feel so lucky on so many levels that Anthony and Grace chose me to be part of the first day of their next great adventure. I was extra emotional, since this was the my last wedding in Montana, but watching these two only filled my heart with hope and excitement, as I embarked on my own grand adventure the following day.
They taught me that there is love after hurt, joy after pain, and light after darkness. They taught me to just keep going, because the best view comes after the hardest climb.
