This was the first wedding I've ever been to that didn't have a timeline, and truthfully, the day flowed perfectly! There's something a bit thrilling about traveling 2,000 miles to shoot a wedding for a couple I've never met before, and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!
A few of my favorite things about this wedding:
Hotel paper cups for champagne and mimosas
Lisa putting her dress on in a pitch dark barn
The first look with their boys
A 15 minute ceremony
Joe tearing up with Lisa shortly after their ceremony
Dumb & Dumber
The one guest who photobombed almost every image I have lol
And the level of FUN that was had!
Lisa and Joe are the epitome of what it means to Plan the Marriage, not the Wedding, because the wedding was the least of their priorities. At the end of the day, they just wanted it to be about them and their family, and I think they knocked it out of the park! I mean, you know it's a good time, when the Bride ends up in sweatpants and a hoodie!
Lisa and Joe, I am so beyond happy for you, and honored that I was able to photograph your day! I wish you both nothing but love, joy, and many great adventures! Cheers to you!
